Teaching Philosophy

Please do not forget to turn in your teaching philosophy to the Coordinator or Department Chair of your area by midterm of the semester. If you need assistance with the teaching philosophy, we will be glad to provide assistance. 

Fall 2017 Never Attended Deadlines

Please note that the Never Attended deadline for both 16-week and 1^st 8-week classes is this Friday, September 1. By the end of the day on Friday, please be sure that you have done the following:

1.  Log in WebAdvisor and, on the “Faculty” menu, select “Grading” (This is on the left-hand side of the screen, about halfway down).
2. On the next screen, select the appropriate “term” from the drop-down box. Unless you are teaching a 1^st 8-week class, you will select “Fall Semester 16-WK 17-18.”
3. On the following screen, select the appropriate course (you will need to do this for each class you are teaching one at a time) and, importantly, select “Final” from the drop-down menu. You MUST use the “Final” grading option, not the “Midterm” option, for this process.
4. The next screen will be the official grading screen. For each student who has not attended a single class meeting of the course, check the box under the “Never Attended” column.
5. Once you click “submit,” the student will be reported to Academic Records and, once the process is completed on their end, removed from your official course roster.
